New York Goes To Hollywood

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

As if we believe all this reality television, the new show New York goes to Hollywood is expected to be another hit television show.  Don’t get me wrong, when it comes to reality TV Miss New York is surely the ‘it’ girl and I will admit she is one of my favorite reality leading ladies.  I just liked her spunk since day one, of course she is extra and way over the top, but she is interesting to watch. I wouldnt be mad if she dropped her breast job down a couple of sizes though.  Her past television appearances have brought her an abundance of success, with I Love New York 1 & 2 breaking records in reality television.  Her new show however is all about her, with no 12 men to share the camera time with so let’s hope she can keep us entertained this time around.

The show is documenting her journey to fulfill her goal of becoming an actress, so the cameras will follow her as she tries to take Hollywood by storm.  Rumor has it that George “Tailor Made” Weisgerber has broken up with her since the reunion of I Love New York 2 and the heartbreaking moment will be a highlight on the upcoming show.  We can almost assure her mother will be a co-star on this show as well, and all the small nuances of life will be brought to a dramatic level for the cameras.  It seems kind of scary when you analyze what’s going on with our culture, but she has become popular enough to where America just wants to watch her go through her daily life. Tiffany “New York” Pollard has come along way from home Toto.

What else do you feel all Divas should have?

A Diva can’t be defined. Only she can define herself.

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

There are certain elements that make up a diva-but nothing can define her—she wouldn’t allow it.

Some of the ingredients are:

Confidence: Full awareness of who you are and what you represent.

Independence : No need to rely on anyone or anything to complete you. Ability to stand on your own two feet.

Presence: The ability to walk into a room and stop time for that split second just by being present.

Style: A style that can’t be categorized, but common people want to emulate.

Beauty: Inner beauty. On the inside having a heart and soul that could win any beauty pageant, and although may be physically beautiful—She chooses not to always use her looks

Dignity: Denies anything less than the highest respect.

Strong Spirit: May have to be harsh if that’s what it takes to get it known she’s a force to be reckoned with. Maybe when people start assuming she’s a B*tch , but by any means necessary can easily become the state of mind.

Pride: Not stubborn, but prideful. Not willing to let someone put her or her beliefs down at least not in her presence. She stands on solid ground and can’t allow someone to demean that.

Success: At whatever it is she does. Successful at motherhood or a successful doctor or Oscar winning actress. Whatever journey she begins—she succeeds at. Setting trends and proving doubters wrong.

“ENVY IS A SIN” Making women remind themselves of this, because they constantly have to stop hating.

False Stereotypes of a Diva

  • MONEY: A diva doesn’t have to be rich. It usually helps, but it doesn’t determine her divaness. A diva can make a dollar out of 15 cents, look like a million bucks with not a dollar. A diva is a doer—money can’t stop her.
  • Beauty: There are some ugly divas.I won’t name any famous ones—but we all know one. A girl that may not be traditionally pretty—but she knows and carries herself like she is the flyest chick on the block. As long as she meets the other elements—What makes her not a diva? Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. We all know some unattractive people with a good looking partner or they are single and they walk around like they are the bomb … it’s all about confidence
  • Famous: How many “divas” fall off everyday. A diva is famous in her own surroundings. There are a lot of talented, graceful, “should be famous”, undiscovered people, and a real diva she doesn’t need fame. She is her own reality show.
  • The Title: A diva doesn’t need to be “titled” a diva by anyone—she knows she’s fabulous—and she knows everyone knows it. She’s fierce and proud.
